On our way back from San Diego we spent the night in Twenty Nine Palms, CA, so that we could visit Joshua Tree National Park. When planning our trip, we weren’t sure we would be able to visit, because of the government shutdown; Joshua tree was one of the parks that suffered damage during the shutdown, but to our eyes the park appeared to have survived.
We were there at the beginning of February when it was quite cold. We should have waited until March to visit. They had enough rain and perfect temperature conditions to get a wildflower “super bloom.” We went on a number of short hikes, and it was an amazing landscape.
Did I mention that it was cold?
Brrrrr!!!!xoxo
